INPARANOID is an
algorithm which finds orthologous genes and those paralogous genes which arose--most likely by duplication--after somespeciation event. Suchprotein -coding genes are called "in-paralogs", as opposed to "out-paralogs" (which arose prior to the species split).Cite journal
