The A482 road is a major route in the Welsh counties of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire.

It connects Aberaeron on the coast (junction with the A487 road) and the A40 road at Llanwrda near Llandovery and is 29 miles in length.

Route

From north to south it runs through:
*Aberaeron;
*Ystrad Aeron;
*Lampeter – there are links to the A475 (Cardigan) and the A485 (Carmarthen) from here;
*The county boundary is at a bridge over the River Teifi just south of Lampeter;
*Pumsaint;
*Llanwrda. The A482 come to and ends here at a junction for the A40 which has links to Llandovery and Llandeilo.
*Llandovery.Via A40

Character

The A482 is a narrow road and has many sharp bends forcing lorries and buses to take the opposite side of the road, the worst part being between Lampeter and Llanwrda.
