Brendan Healy (b. August 4, 1983) is a professional lacrosse player for the Washington Bayhawks [ [http://www.washingtonbayhawks.com washingtonbayhawks.com: Home ] ] of Major League Lacrosse [ [http://majorleaguelacrosse.com majorleaguelacrosse.com: Home ] ] .

Professional career

2007 Season (Washington): Played in 10 games out of the 12 regular season games scoring nine goals with three two-point goals totaling twelve points in total. Also recorded 23 ground balls.

2006 Season (Baltimore): In his first season with the Bayhawks Brendan played in ten games scoring ten goals as a rookie. He was selected 13th overall in the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft.

College career

Played college lacrosse at the University of Maryland, College Park [ [http://umterps.cstv.com/sports/m-lacros/md-m-lacros-body.html Men's Lacrosse - The University of Maryland Terrapins - Official Athletic Site ] ] under coach Dave Cottle, where he was a three-time Honorable Mention All-American. He scored 32 points as a captain his senior year, and ended his career with 60 goals and 28 assists.

Personal

Healy grew up in Great Falls, VA, and currently coaches lacrosse at Upper Arlington High School and is currently a law student at OSU Moritz College of Law. Brother Ian Healy also plays for the Washington Bayhawks, and was a teammate at the University of Maryland. Brendan currently resides in Columbus, OH where he is finishing his law degree and personal training. He lives with his wife Georgina Flower-Healy and their two dogs Wilbur and Farley.
