Arvind S. Nadkarni

Arvind S. Nadkarni (1931 – May 20, 2008) was a Kannada poet from Andheri, who was awarded the Karnataka Sahitya Akademi for his work 'Atma Bharath'. He was president of the Kannada Savitya Sammelana held in Madikeri, Kodagu[citation needed].

Arvind was born in Bankikkodla to a Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family [1]. He completed his high school diploma (1946–47) from the A. H. School and his B.Sc. degree from Ruparel College of Matunga, Mumbai. Nadkarni had owned a small consulting business and managed the hospital in Mumbai where his wife was a physician. Nadkarni died in Mumbai.
