Clayton to Offham Escarpment Site of Special Scientific Interest Area of Search East & West Sussex Grid reference TQ301136 to TQ400120 Coordinates 50°53′53″N 0°04′44″W / 50.898°N 0.079°WCoordinates: 50°53′53″N 0°04′44″W / 50.898°N 0.079°W Interest Biological Area 429.6 ha (1,062 acres) Notification 1953 Natural England website The Clayton to Offham Escarpment is a 379.3 hectares (937 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in East Sussex, but extends in to West Sussex and thus can be found on the List of Sites of Special Scientific Interest in West Sussex as well as the List of Sites of Special Scientific Interest in East Sussex lists. The site was notified in 1986 under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
