Peoria High School, located in the city of Peoria, in the community of Peoria, Arizona opened its doors in 1922 to a small community. Peoria High School is operated by the Peoria Unified School District. While concentrating on academic excellence, the Peoria High School student body has created a solid foundation of clubs, activities, and sports programs. Scholars, athletes, club members, and artists have emerged as leaders. Peoria High School began its journey 1922, with only a few Panthers on the prowl. Peoria High School has grown rapidly to several thousand currently enrolled students and over one hundred and fifty full-time staff members, as of 2008.

Ironwood High School is a PUSD public high school in Glendale, Arizona at the intersection of 59th Avenue and Sweetwater with upwards of 2,200 students. The school was established in 1986 and has grown considerably since then. Sunrise Mountain High School (SMHS) is a public high school located in Peoria, Arizona. SMHS is a relatively new school which opened in 1996. It offers some up-to-date teaching methods and technology, and it is one of Peoria Unified School District's most prominent schools, offering Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. These include the Academy of Finance (AOF), Academy of Travel and Tourism (AOTT), and the Academy of Information Technology (AOIT). All of these are part of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) programs. SMHS' mascot is Max the Mustang. Colors are purple and gold.
