* According to the Daily Mirror, Tina Turner will perform two shows at the newly refurbished Point Theatre, Dublin in 2009. A third concert may be added at a later date. Tickets are expected to go on sale in August 2008 and may cost up to €150. * Electric Picnic 2009 will take place at Stradbally, County Laois from September 4-6. On Friday October 10 2008, a limited number of ‘Early Bird’ tickets went on sale at the 2008 price of €199, which includes camping. Slane 2009

* Lord Henry Mountcharles is understood to be in "serious negotiations" with potential acts for Slane in 2009.
