Foundation
Blah Blah Productions was founded in 2004 as the brainchild of Michelle Taylor. Originally the group consisted of just 24 students, and productions included The Wizard of Oz and
From Stage to Screen .The group's breakthrough came in the form of a stage adaption of Disney's High School Musical, which "Blah Blah", as they are affectionately known, became the first Essex-based theatre school to perform. It was performed at
Southend 'sNew Empire Theatre in a run of eight sell-out shows, with a cumulative audience of 3,232, and a cast of 300.The group now has two branches: Juniors (aged 5-12), and Seniors (aged 13+). The size of the cast for High School Musical meant Blah Blah had to extend their Benfleet branch to include a Southend branch; however the group are currently based in Rayleigh, and the idea of a specially-built studio is being investigated.
