23 October 1863 inSvishtov , died on14 October 1927 inSofia ), also known as the victor ofTutrakan was a Bulgarian general who fought in theSerbo-Bulgarian War (1885),Balkan Wars (1912-1913) andWorld War I (1914-1918). He was a hero of theDobrudzha campaign of 1916, a hero in the battle of Gechkenli and Seliolu in the Balkan wars and in the defense ofVidin in 1885.He entered the Military school in 1880. During the defense of Vidin from the
Serbs in 1885 Kiselov commanded a company. During theFirst Balkan War he was in command of the 5th Danube Regiment and the 8th Littoral Regiment which fought in the great victory over the Turks in the battle of Lozengrad. During the First World War he was in charge of the Forth Preslav Infantry Division which stormed and captured the majorRomania n fortress of Tutrakan in thebattle of Turtucaia .Panteley Kiselov had a number of military medals and orders and was wounded by a shell during the
Second Balkan War . General Kiselov often fought in the trenches of the first line.References
