Confidence Man is the first solo album by The New Amsterdams and Get Up Kids frontman Matt Pryor.

Contents

Recording

The album was written, produced, and recorded at Pryor's home studio in Lawrence, Kansas.[1] The first single off the album, entitled "Lorelai" was made available on Pryor's Myspace page. The album stemmed from Pryor's desire to write an album before he turned 30, to write and record an album by himself completely.[2]

Promotion

While the album is not receiving a great deal of publicity from Vagrant Records, Pryor will be touring to support this album, as well as the new album by The Terrible Twos, Jerzey the Giant. For the first leg of the tour, Pryor will be co-headlining with Saves the Day frontman Chris Conley. For the second leg, he will be headlining, and the third leg will see Pryor co-headlining with Kevin Devine.[3][4]
