Medal record Women’s football Competitor for Norway Olympic Games Gold Sydney 2000 Team Monica Knudsen (born March 25, 1975) is a former Norwegian footballer and Olympic champion.
She played for the club Asker in the Toppserien league, debuted for the Norwegian national team in 1996, and played 87 matches for the national team.
Knudsen was with the Norway team that won Gold at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney [1]. She played as a substitute in the semifinal and was one of the starting eleven in the final, being substituted after 90 minutes, before the start of extra time.
At the end of 2009 Knudsen was appointed chief trainer for LSK Kvinner FK football club.
