Gardner Stow

Gardner Stow was an American lawyer and politician.

Life

He lived at Keeseville, New York, and on June 21, 1831, he married Sophia Patrick.

He was District Attorney of Essex County, New York from 1838 to 1844.

Later he moved to Troy, New York.

After the resignation of Levi S. Chatfield, who had been defeated in his run for re-election a month previous, Stow was appointed New York State Attorney General on December 8, 1853, for the remaining three weeks of Chatfield's term.
