Liberation War Museum

The Liberation War Museum (Bengali: মুক্তিযুদ্ধ যাদুঘর "Muktijuddho Jadughôr") is a museum in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

The museum opened on 22 March 1996, and is dedicated to the sacrifices of Bangladesh's soldiers and civilians in the Bangladesh Liberation War. Galleries

Three ground-floor galleries cover the struggle against the British Raj in Bengal, resistance to Pakistani rule after 1947, and the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. In 2006 the Museum was fitted with modern audiovisual and exhibition equipment as a donation from the Japanese government to help preserve the culture and heritage of Bangladesh's independence movement.
