Russell Ormond Redman is a Canadian astronomer, b.1951, a specialist in
radio astronomy on the staff of theNational Research Council of Canada at theDominion Astrophysical Observatory . In 1966, just after the 9th grade, he first volunteered for theDominion Astrophysical Observatory (DAO) in Victoria,British Columbia -- and his initial publication was the list of nearest stars in the 1970 Observer's Handbook, when still in high school.
