- James Hoare
James Edward Hoare (1948- ) is a British academic specializing in Chinese and Korean studies, and a career diplomat in the British Foreign Office.
Academia
Dr. Hoare is a graduate of London's
School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). He has long been a member of theAnglo-Korean Society , the Korean Branch of theRoyal Asiatic Society , and theRoyal Society for Asian Affaires .
