Shades of Deep Purple Tour is a short tour by British hard rock band Deep Purple to support their debut album "Shades of Deep Purple". Tour lasted over 1 month and included only 8 dates (7 in the UK and 1 in the Switzerland). It was the band's first home-tour. Pre-History

After a short debut tour the band recorded their first album in just one weekend and then confirmed their first UK dates. [ [http://www.deep-purple.net/tree/mk1.htm Deep Purple Mark 1 History ] ] . Album was realased only in the USA and charted #24 there. It included hit single Hush which peaked #4 and threw Deep Purple in the USA mainstream. Though Shades of Deep Purple Tour included only UK dates.No Live recordings from this tour are realased yet.
