Adam Morandini

Adam Morandini

Adam Morandini (born 13 May, 1972 in Malton, Ontario) is a Goalkeeper footballer from Canada.

Adam Morandini began his colligate athletic career at Humber College in 1993. Humber immediately knew they had a special player in Morandini as he was named to the OCAA All-Star team during his rookie season. In his second year, he led Humber to a pair of Provincial Championships (indoor and outdoor soccer), an accomplishment that had never been achieved in OCAA history. At the National Championships, Humber earned a silver medal. That year, Morandini’s individual accomplishments included recognition as an OCAA All-Star, Team MVP, and Humber Athlete of the Year.

After an exceptional sophomore season, Morandini and his Hawks followed it up with another strong season. The Hawks captured their second Outdoor Championship provincial title, and closed out some unfinished business by winning the National Championship. Morandini was named as a CCAA All-Canadian and OCAA All-Star. In his final season of play and for his second straight year, the goalkeeper was named as a CCAA All-Canadian. Upon graduation, Humber recognized Morandini’s contribution to the school and it’s soccer program by retiring his number. Adam remained with the team as an assistant coach for the next two years after his college playing career was over.

Morandini started his pro career with the North York Rockets of the Canadian Soccer League in 1992 and 1993, Adam was drafted by the Rockets in 1990 and given on loan to Toronto Jets for 1991 season (NSL). Then returned to the North York Rockets for the 1992 and 1993 seasons. In 1996 Morandini had a short stint with the Toronto Lynx of the A-League.

Morandini ended his pro career in the semi-pro Canadian Professional Soccer League with the Glen Shields Sundevils, where he played from 1996 to 2001.
