Ein Rafa ( _ar. عين رافا or عين رافه; _he. עין ראפה) is a small Arab village in central [Israel] . Located across Route 1 from Abu Ghosh, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Yehuda Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 865.

History

It was founded in the 1940s when the Barhoum family moved from the nearby village of Suba into the valley. Its growth began after 1948 when several other families including Nasrallah fled or were expelled from Suba and settled there. [B.
