Igopogo is a cryptozoological creature which is rumoured to dwell in Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. The creature's name is ostensibly based on the Ogopogo, of Lake Okanagan, British Columbia. It is also called "Kempenfelt Kelly" after the bay that extends from the lake into the city of Barrie, Ontario.

Description

Unlike most long-necked lake monsters, the Igopogo is described with a relatively canine-esque head. Because of this, many believers have speculated that it is related to such canine-like aquatic animals as the Irish crocodile; also known as the Dobhar-chu. Evidence and sightings

In March, 1991, a young man was preparing for a hydroplane race, when he had to stop and repair it briefly. A friend of his, who was nearby, was filming, and caught an enormous dog-like beast's head raising up out of the water in front of the racer. It stared at him for a while, before diving down again.
