Puff Johnson (born Ewanya Johnson,
December 10 1972 , Detroit,Michigan ) is an Americansinger-songwriter . She emerged on the music scene with the singles "Forever More", and "Over & Over" which appeared on the soundtrack of thefilm "The First Wives Club ", the single was a hit inEurope andAustralia reaching the Top 20 in both areas. She released her first and critically acclaimedalbum , "Miracle", in 1996. The album was produced byRandy Jackson of "American Idol " fame. She has also collaborated with the Bay Area based R&B group, Something For The People; and withTupac Shakur on his firstDeathrow Records release, "All Eyez on Me ", his hit single, "Me Against the World", which was featured on the "Bad Boys " movie soundtrack and his album of the same name.In 1997 Johnson toured Europe as an opening act for
Michael Jackson and3T . Her debut album was also certified silver in the UK. Towards the end of the year "Miracle" reached Top 40 in theNetherlands and the single "Over & Over" hit the Top 20.To date she has not released any further material and has slipped out of the limelight.
