Robert Tchenguiz (PerB|رابرت چنگیز, born 9 September 1960 in Tehran [http://www.managementtoday.co.uk/channel/Finance/news/561465/the-imt-i-interview-robert-tchenguiz/ The MT Interview: Robert Tchenguiz] ] ) is an Iraqi / Iranian businessman. The Tchenguiz family is originally from Iraq but the family later emigrated to Iran in 1948 to escape persecution. Father Victor is believed to have changed the family name from "Kedorie" to "Tchenguiz" - farsi for 'Genghis'.They eventually emigrated to Britain in 1979 when the Shah was deposed.

Robert and his brother Vincent have large percentage shares in businesses such as Sainsbury's, SCi, Mitchells & Butlers and many more.
