Yaba is a department or commune of Nayala Province in western Burkina Faso. Its capital lies at the town of Yaba. According to the 1996 census the department has a total population of 29,806 [ [http://www.inforoute-communale.gov.bf/list_vill/bm.htm Burkinabé government inforoute communale] ] .
