Kuala Tahan

Kuala Tahan is a Malaysian village located at the confluence of the Tahan and Tembiling Rivers in the state of Pahang. The word "Kuala" means "confluence" in Malay, and the Tahan is a tributary of the Tembiling river. A resort at Kuala Tahan receives visitors to Taman Negara. Other facilities include a restaurant and campsites.

There are several accommodation at Kuala Tahan (which serves at Taman Negara's Base Camp). Mutiara Taman Negara Resort (saltn@mutiarahotels.com) is the only resort within Taman Negara National Park. Others within Kuala Tahan village area include Persona Resort, Rainforest Resort, Woodland Resort, Park Lodge, Durian Chalet, Teresek View Village, Liana Hostel, Agoh Chalet and Travelers Home.

Kuala Tahan by road and riverboat. It is accessible via a local bus from Jerantut, a share taxi, or a slowboat from Kuala Tembeling.
