John Franklin (born John Paul Salapatek; June 16, 1967) is an American actor.

Personal life

Franklin was born in Blue Island, Chicago, and graduated from the University of Illinois. He has a growth hormone deficiency. Franklin speaks French and German fluently and besides TV and films, his hobbies include gardening.

Career

Franklin's first film was 1984's "Children of the Corn." Although he was portraying a child ("Isaac"), Franklin was 17 at the time. After two years of mostly television-based work (notably episodes of "Highway to Heaven" and "Kids Incorporated"), he returned to the big screen for "Andy Colby's Incredible Video Adventure." In 1988 he appeared in "A Night at the Magical Castle" as "Tweak," and voiced "Walkabout Chucky" in the original "Child's Play." In the 1990s, Franklin was "Cousin Itt" in "The Addams Family" and "Addams Family Values", and had roles in Disney's "Tower of Terror" and "Wag the Dog". Franklin reprised his character and co-wrote the screenplay for the fifth sequel to the Children of the Corn film series, "." He continues to make television and movie appearances, including guest roles on "Beauty and the Beast" and "."
