Lloyd C. Bird

Lloyd C. Bird (August 1, 1894–April 1978) was a Virginia State Senator. He was born in Highland County, Virginia.

Senator Bird began as a teacher at what is now the Medical College of Virginia. In 1925, he partnered with Morris Phipps to start Phipps & Bird, a business that provide a source of laboratory apparatus, chemicals and other products for scientific education.

From 1952-53, he was the president of the Virginia Academy of Science, and he was elected in 1972 as a "Fellow of the Virginia Academy of Science".

L. C. Bird High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia is named after him.
