P M Aboobacker

Poovanitheruvath Maliyekal Abubacker (also P.M. Aboobacker) (born July 1, 1932, died October 17 1994) was one of the most well known muslim political leaders of Kerala, India. Previously a renowned journalist with the Chandrika newspaper in Calicut. His political career in civil service extended almost four decades. In all those decades, he has been a member of the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Kerala Legislative Assembly (KLA). He was married to M. P. Zainabi, and had 5 children (four boys and one girl).
