Catherine Carr (swimmer)

Catherine Carr (born May 27, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is an American swimmer and olympic champion. She competed at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, where she received a gold medal in "100 m breaststroke", and a gold medal in "4 × 100 m medley relay". World records

She held the world record in 100 m breaststroke, long course from 2 September 1972 to 22 August 1974 (1:13.58). She was part of one relay world record.

Awards

Carr was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1988.
