Yamma Pit Fighting is a new
mixed martial arts promotion that was created by formerUFC mastermindRobert Meyrowitz . The promotion's first event, "YAMMA 1", was held on April 11,2008 inAtlantic City ,New Jersey at theTrump Taj Mahal . It sported what was referred to as a revolutionary fighting structure which turned out to be a large circular cage with a fence surrounding it and that elevated as it rose up to the outer edge of the cage. The stated purpose of the rising at the outer edges was to prevent fighters from cornering their opponents into the corner. Rather, the rising edge of the Yamma Pit was to facilitate more action.Pit Fighting first Name used for realistic fighting games
Pit-Fighter is a 1990 arcade fighting game by Atari Games. It was revolutionary because it was the first video game ever to feature digitized characters using real life actors. Pit-Fighter is a 3rd-person fight game that features digitized graphics of real fighters and zooming effects. Players select one of three fighters (Buzz, Ty or Kato) to take on anyone who dares. At the conclusion of a match, players are individually awarded a Knockout Bonus, Brutality Bonus, and a Fight Purse. Every third match is a Grudge Match where players test the skills of each other. The last man standing is the winner of this three-knockdown match. Players fight their way to the Elimination Match to decide who wins the opportunity to dethrone the champion, the Masked Warrior.
