Prequel
Yumemi Mystery Mansion is the prequel to The Mansion Of Hidden Souls and was released on Sega CD, it featured the Elder as a young boy who was trapped in the Mansion in order to save his sister from becoming a permanent resident. According to the story they both grew up and Elder's sister died during the war, however it is not specified which war was the cause. The first game had a darker tone and very sinister rooms, consisting of metal, heat, a body and grating, much like Silent Hill's nightmare world. The residents were different too consisting of a female musician with a southern accent, a cockney butterfly collector, a painter, a young girl, and a fortune teller. There are many puzzles in the game and the player must find a way out before the strike of midnight.
