1984 O-Pee-Chee

This a list with brief descriptions of O-Pee-Chee sports card products for 1984.

Baseball

Base Set

In 1984 O-Pee-Chee licenced version of the Topps set. It was basically identical to the Topps set, however it only had 396 cards instead of the 792 in the Topps set and had the Topps branding replaced with O-Pee-Chee branding.The cards were printed on lighter grey cardstock, featured bilingual backs, and some had added traded lines. Player cards had a thin white border surrounding the player picture, with the team name appearing in a colored box angled up from the lower-left corner. Manager and team leaders cards for the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays were issued, but for no other teams. Player cards had a white background with O-Pee-Chee printed in a bold sans serif font replacing the Topps logo in the upper-right corner, the team name in color down the left side, a head shot of the player within a colored box in the lower-left corner and the player's name and position in color in the lower-right corner. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
