There have been five Baronetcies created for persons with the surname Price, one in the
Baronetage of Great Britain and four in theBaronetage of the United Kingdom . Two of the creations are extant as of 2008.The Price Baronetcy, of Jamaica in the West Indies, was created in the Baronetage of Great Britain on
13 August 1768 for Charles Price, Speaker of the House of Assembly ofJamaica . He was the grandson of Francis Price, who settled in Jamaica in the 1650's. The second Baronet also served as Speaker of the House of Assembly of Jamaica. The title became extinct on his death in 1788.The Price, later Rugge-Price Baronetcy, of Spring Grove in Richmond the County of Surrey, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on

30 May 1815 for Rose Price. He was the grandson of John Price, younger brother of the first Baronet of the 1768 creation. Several other members of the family may also be mentioned. Henry Talbot Price, younger brother of the third Baronet, was a Captain in theRoyal Navy . John Price, fourth son of the first Baronet, was a magistrate and penal administrator. His third son Thomas Price was a soldier. His son Thomas Rose Caradoc Prise (1875-1949) was aBrigadier-General . His younger son was the actorDennis Price .The Price Baronetcy, of Foxley in the County of Hereford, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on
12 February 1828 for Uvedale Price, best known for his writings on thePicturesque . His only son, the second Baronet, sat asMember of Parliament for Herefordshire. The title became extinct on his death in 1857.The Price Baronetcy, of Ardingly in the County of Sussex, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on
