amphibious aircraft manufactured in USA during the 1930s by the American firmSikorsky Aircraft . It was known as the "Baby Clipper" (Army OA-8, USN JRS-1) inairline service. It was used primarily byPan American World Airways for flights toCuba , but three were also used by Inter-Island Airways ofHawaii , the predecessor to modern-dayHawaiian Airlines , to ferry Pan-Am Clipper passengers and local residents fromHonolulu to the other islands.
