Itapema is a city in Santa Catarina, Brazil. It is situated at latitude 27º05'25 " South and longitude 48º36'41 " West, being 2 meters above mean sea level. Its population in 2006 was estimated at 35,990 inhabitants.The city, along the state's north coast, has been the fastest growing city in "Santa Catarina" for the last the 5 years running; it has beaches for those who search for the tranquillity of laid back places.
