University of the Pacific (Spanish: "Universidad del Pacífico") (UP) is a private university in the Jesús María District of Lima, Peru.

The university is specialized in Business Management and Economics, and is regarded as the best Peruvian university in these fields.

The Universidad del Pacífico was established in 1962 by a group of businessmen, with help from the Society of Jesus.

Universidad del Pacífico (UP) is a private university established in 1962 by a group of Peruvian entrepreneurs supported by the Jesuit community. Today is has become a university specialized in the areas of economics and business administration. In the past three decades, UP has been ranked as the most prestigious higher education institution in its fields of specialization in Peru, and among the leading institutions of its kind in the Latin American region.

At the undergraduate level UP offers Bachelor's degrees in Economics, and in Business Administration and Accounting. At the graduate level, it offers a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Finance and a Master of Economics. At the moment it has approximately 1,600 students enrolled at the undergraduate level, and 500 students enrolled in graduate programs.

The academic year at the Universidad del Pacífico at the undergraduate level consists of 2 semesters. The first semester begins in late-March and ends in July; the second semester begins in mid-August and ends in mid-December. A break of approximately 3 to 4 weeks occurs in between both semesters. At the graduate level, the academic year consists of 3 terms: January-April, May-August, and September-December.

The University conducts large-scale research projects within Peru and at the Latin American level, particularly in the areas of international economics and trade, public policy, regulation of the economy, health and environmental economics, human development, civil society and philanthropy, and SMEs. Some of these are funded by the Kellogg Foundation, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and other regional development agencies.
