Blue Bird Vision, first introduced in 2003, is a Type C "Conventional" school bus offered by Blue Bird Body Comapany.
First Generation Blue Bird Vision 2003-2007
The first generation Vision was the replacement for the General Motors CV-2000 conventional school bus chassis.
The Vision featured a angled hood for better visibility. Also, each bus featured a "Safety Vision Window," This revolutionary window allows the driver of the vehicle to see the critical loading-unloading zone. The vehicle also offered a 50° turning radius, which at the time was far superior to any other
school bus offering. The vehicle featured large back-lit gauges and switches.The Cummins ISB was added to the available engines in 2006.
econd Generation Blue Bird Vision 2007 (model year)
For the 2007 model year Blue Bird updated its conventional school bus offering. The new model was marketed as a 2008. Some of the updates include:
* New hood design
* New instrument panel
* New steering column w/ E-Z adjust peddle.
* New electric outward opening service door.Engines
Three engines are offered for this product. The most common being the Caterpillar C7, and the Cummins ISB-07. Blue Bird also offers a propane version of the General Motors 8.1L V8 gasoline engine.
