Kumaresan

Tiruppur Kumaran (1904–1932) was an Indian freedom fighter. He died from injuries sustained during a police action against the colonial British government. He was born in Chennimalai, a town in Tamil Nadu, South India, where a memorial has been raised to commemorate his sacrifice. On the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary in 2004, the Indian Government announced the release of a stamp in his honour.
