"Boogie Wonderland" is a 1979 hit disco single for Earth, Wind & Fire with The Emotions, written by Allee Willis and Jon Lind, taken from the album "I Am". It is regarded as a classic of the disco age and peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The repeated line from the chorus sums up the song: "I find romance when I start to dance in Boogie Wonderland".

The song won the 1980 Grammy Award for Best R&B Instrumental Performance.

The song has been remade several times. Most recently, it was sung by Brittany Murphy for the soundtrack to the movie "Happy Feet".This version of the song gave it new popularity.

This song was used in a 1980 disco comedy skit on The Benny Hill Show, roller boogie song track, and was later used in the animated movie Madagascar. In the Cartoon Network animated movie "Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure" the song was featured in the main commercial "trailer" for the US premiere and is used during the ending credits of the movie. A remix of the song was also used in the arcade game Dance Dance Revolution 3rdMIX. "Boogie Wonderland" has also been made into different variations by the Southern University Marching Band and the Marching 100.

"Boogie Wonderland" was also the name of hugely popular 1970's Revival Night which ran weekly at Theatre Royal in Limerick Ireland from December 1995 to February 1997. Pre-Empting the run of 70's and 80's nights which became popular in the following years, Limerick's "Boogie Wonderland" was popular for its eclectic crowd in the unique surroundings of the 19th century theatre and during its hey day saw everything from on stage marriage proposals to live goldfish regurgitation among the side shows along with a soundtrack from Abba to Bowie and The Slits to the Specials.

In Australia, Priscilla: the Musical uses this song for one of the minor sequences in Laciter's casino in Northern Territory.

"Boogie Wonderland" is also a name of a disco radio show on 91.8 Hayes Fm every Saturday from 7pm to 9pm (uk times) started on 28 june 2008 with Mel H and the very last show is on Saturday 13 September 2008 and will be back in December 2008
