January 8 ,1894 - 19??) was Hungarian-Slovenianschoolmaster and politician, serving as governor of the Prekmurian Republic in 1919.Tkálecz born January 8, 1894, in the village of
Turnišče ,Prekmurje , in theKingdom of Hungary . In 1917, he was enlisted with the army and sent toRussia . AfterWorld War I he was a teacher at a school inČrenšovci (or Cserföld), nearLendava .Under the
Hungarian Soviet Republic , Tkálecz was assistant to clerkBéla Obál while staying inMurska Sobota .On
May 29 ,1919 , Tkálecz declared Prekmurje to be a republic. OnJune 6 , theHungarian Red Army were sent to Murska Sobota and demolished the state. Tkálecz went into exile inAustria , some time in 1920 and later found a job as a teacher inNagykarácsony ,Hungary , where he remained for many years. Little was heard from him soon afterWorld War II and his ultimate fate remains unknown.ee also
