Derek Poimer (born 4 December 1973) is an Australian football (soccer) striker. He previously played for APIA Leichhardt, Sydney Olympic and West Adelaide in the now defunct National Soccer League between 1990 and 1999.

He represented Australian Under 20's aganist numerous European club sides during a tour of Europe in 1992.
