Cosumnes Oaks High School

Cosumnes Oaks High School

Cosumnes Oaks High School (kuh-sum-ness) is a college preparatory high school in the Elk Grove Unified School District. Cosumnes Oaks is the newest high school in the district and opened for the 2008–2009 school year.

The Cosumnes River is the most prominent geographical feature of the southern part of the Elk Grove Unified School District. The high school is named after the river and the many oak trees in the area, creating a strong link between the river and the Cosumnes River Preserve.

Cosumnes Oaks is built using the same blueprint as Franklin, Monterey Trail & Pleasant Grove High School's. The school also has an on-campus, state of-the-art culinary arts facility.

Stadium

The Cosumnes Oaks-Franklin Community Stadium is a multi-use outdoor stadium used by Cosumnes Oaks High School during their home games. It used as the home stadium for the Franklin and Cosumnes Oaks football teams as well as the Cosumnes Oaks soccer teams. It contains painted lines suitable for football (white) and soccer (yellow) as well as football field goal uprights and soccer goals with nets. The stadium is also shared with nearby high school, Franklin High School, due to FHS not having a stadium onsite.
