Scottish Gaelic : "Rubha Robhanais") is in the area of Ness. It is the northernmost point of theIsle of Lewis . It is the location for an abandonedlighthouse built in the 1860's and designed by David Stevenson. There is also adifferential GPS base station on a nearby hill.There is a sheltered cove called Stoth on the road up to the lighthouse.
Lazy bed s are visible on the other side of the road. There is a large round hole in the cliff to the west of the lighthouse which is called the Eye of the Butt (Scottish Gaelic : "Sùil an Rubha"), which is most clearly visible from theHabost machair .External links
