Pete & The Pirates are an English indie rock band based in Reading [ [http://www.myspace.com/peteandthepirates MySpace.com - Pete And The Pirates - Reading, UK - Rock - www.myspace.com/peteandthepirates ] ] . Their first full length album "Little Death" was released on February 17, 2008. The band consists of Thomas Sanders (vocals), Dough Ball (vocals and guitar), David Thorpe (guitar), Pasty Cattermoul (bass) and Jonny Sanders (drums). Debut

In June 2007 they released their debut single "Come On Feet" and have appeared on Steve Lamacq's In New Music We Trust radio show on BBC Radio 1. Also the single is used in the UEFA Euro 2008 game soundtrack.

Critical Reception

Their music has been described by NME as "perfect pop without the pretence." In this review, written by Stewy Matterson, the album was described as "jangly guitar music that doesn’t actually sound like it wants to be heard by anybody apart from [the band's] mothers."
