- Dáibhí Ó Cróinín

Dáibhí Ó Cróinín is an academic Irish historian, the current Professor of History at the National University of Ireland, Galway (N.U.I. Galway). M.Phil., Ph.D. (N.U.I.), and Member of the Royal Irish Academy. He is a grandson of Elizabeth Cronin (née Ó hIarlaithe; 1879–1956), an Irish traditional singer. An author of many articles and contributor to several books, he specialises in prehistoric and ancient studies.
