The Rt Rev.Brian Colin Castle is the current Suffragan Bishop of Tonbridge [ [http://www.anglicancommunion.org/tour/cathedral.cfm?IDNUMBER=15050 Official web site] ] . He was born on 7 September 1949, educated at University College London [Who’s Who 2008 (London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN 9780713672576] and ordained in 1978 after a period of study at Cuddesdon [Crockfords On line- accessed Saturday 21st April 2008, 19:14] . He began his career with a curacy at St Nicholas, Sutton [ [http://dadsgroup.blogspot.com/ Church details] ] and was then successively Priest in charge at Solwezi, Zambia, Vicar of Northmore Green, Somerset [During this period he was awarded a PhD in Theology from the University of Birmingham Who’s Who-Ibid)] and "Director of Pastoral Studies" at his old theological college before his elevation to the Episcopate.
