Jarrod's strange sense of humor and unorthodox posting style culminated in a very controversial banning which shocked many longstanding members of the community.

Jarrod was a pioneer of
rickrolling , and frequently used the tactic to deceive others into clicking links that were, in actuality, a posting ofRick Astley 's "Never Gonna Give You Up ." On April 27, 2008, Jarrod and three other baseball fans attempted to 'rickroll' fans at Pittsburgh'sPNC Park by performing akaraoke version of the song for anAmerican Idol -style contest.
