Aussie Rules UK National League Northern Division, with a team composed largely of expatriate Australians. In 2008 the demographics of the team changed considerably with the loss of most of the previous year's Australians, resulting in the team to be formed almost entirely of UK-origin players. Finishing third behindMiddlesbrough Hawks andNewcastle Centurions the Swans succeeded in the more important task of introducing the game to as many new players as possible. The Sydney Swans
