"Northern Lights Playhouse" was an Icelandic compilation released in LP format by the label Fálkinn in 1981.
The recordings where taken from 1980-81 period and included Iceland’s most important bands at that time, such as the New Wave Þeyr with two tracks taken from their single "Life Transmission". The punk band Purrkur Pillnikk appeared with the ten songs from their first single "Tilf"; Fræbbblarnir appeared with three songs. Utangarðsmenn, a band led by singer Bubbi Morthens, is featured with two songs, and Taugadeildin with just one. Iceland’s rock & roll legend, Megas, is also included in this work with his song "Paradísarfuglinn".
