Gravy Train (dog food)

Gravy Train is an American commercial dog food. Originally developed by Quaker Foods, [http://www.delmonte.com/Company/Brands/LearnMore/GravyTrain.asp History of Gravy Train at DelMonte.com] ] it is one of the first brands of dog food to feature the gimmick that when warm water is added to the dry kibble, a brown gravy forms when mixed with the kibble's powder coating. The gravy supposedly makes the food more palatable for the dog.

The advertising catchphrase is "The Gravy Taste Dogs Can't Wait to Finish."

Ingredients

Gravy Train contains corn, soybean meal, beef and bone meal, animal fat, animal digest, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 2, and BHA. These are ingredients not found in foods by companies claiming to have more nutritious or holistic foods such as By Nature, Natural Balance, AvoDerm, Blue Buffalo and many others.
