England ; acquired by the Navy on free lease from Richard T. Crane ofChicago, Illinois ,12 April 1917 ; renamed "Natick" and commissioned20 October 1917 .World War I service
"Natick" was assigned as a patrol craft in the
9th Naval District during World War I.Post-war disposition
After war-time patrol duties, she was returned to her owner
