Sava basin.The area covers 2650 km2.The region is streaching from Sava river to the north,Motajica mountin to the west,mountinsOzren andTrebava to the south andMajevica mountin to the east.Croats made the majority of the population in this region.Today the region is predominetly inhabited bySerbs .The region includes towns as
Bosanski Brod ,Derventa ,Odžak ,Modriča ,Bosanski Šamac ,Brčko ,Orašje .According to the pre-war 1991 consensus Bosnian Posavina was inhabited by 260.793 people.

*Bosniaks : 18.726 or 12% The region is now largely uninhabitedFact|date=June 2008 , as almost all the houses are plundered, burnt and destroyed. Only few percent of people have returned to their homes. The majority of refugees live in and around the city ofSlavonski Brod ,Croatia right across theSava River , while a minority emigrated to theEuropean Union countries, theUnited States , andAustralia .References
